Why can’t you seem to make the changes in your life that will get you the life you really want?
Every one of us can change, if we want to. There’s not one of us that can’t.
My area of expertise is helping people to get unstuck and in all of the thousands of people I have worked with over the years, I can tell you, for sure, that every single one of us can get unstuck if we really want to, because it’s only ourselves that’s keeping us stuck.
In order to change our lives, some changes need to be made. But that’s the sticking point for so many of us.
People want change – but they don’t want to change – and that’s what makes the change
impossible. It’s kind of obvious in some respects, but it’s common and people can’t see it for themselves.
Change should be exciting, but in place of having the courage to change, we often have fear.
Fear is the prison we keep ourselves locked in.
It’s a mind thing, because the subconscious mind’s job is to keep us safe, so as soon as we
begin to make changes in our life, the subconscious mind gets uncomfortable and it tries to pull us back into old habits of thinking, feeling and behaving and before we know it, we’re right back to the start again.
We tried to change but couldn’t and this is true of most new habits we try to put in place in our life – new exercise routines, new diets, meditation practices, business actions, behaviours in
relationships etc.
But we can learn to override the subconscious mind and start making changes IF we are really committed to change.
But there’s a catch potentially, because commitment scares some people. They feel trapped when they commit but don’t realise that their lack of commitment is what’s keeping them stuck.
It’s impossible to grow in our relationships without commitment. It’s impossible to grow our
business without commitment. It’s impossible to master almost everything without commitment because anything we want to get really good at requires commitment. Ask any accomplished athlete, singer, dancer, artist.
So we try to commit. We promise ourselves we’ll do it this time, but we again break our promise and then we feel bad. Our integrity is at risk now.
Integrity is our word, our promise, that we’ll do what we say we’re going to do and if we don’t keep our word to ourself then it’s our self integrity that’s affected – and now it’s just gone out of the window.
Commonly, we’ll keep our word to others – but we won’t keep it to ourselves and each time we break our word it feels worse and worse, because now we’re chipping away at our self worth. And each time we break our promise, we’re subconsciously saying to ourselves that we’re not worth keeping our promise to – everybody else is worth more so we keep our word to them, but not to ourselves.
So we’ve let ourselves down again and once again we’ve proved that we really just can’t change – and now we’re stuck even more.
Does this sound familiar to you? Have you done this to yourself before? Are you still caught in this vicious cycle…
Well, I think we’ve all done it at one time or another – I know I certainly have. Several times over actually and it felt terrible, to be stuck like that.
Underneath all of that behaviour though it’s the subconscious beliefs that are keeping us stuck. Beliefs about ourselves, our life, what’s available to us and what’s not, what others think about us… and when we work though all of that and take it apart and dismantle it bit by bit with full awareness and understanding THAT’S when we can start to change those programmed
behaviours in our mind and we can begin to think, feel and act in a different way, and that’s when we can begin to make changes in our life.
Change starts on the inside first. It’s an inside job.
When we change the internal – the external changes to reflect who we are becoming.
That’s when the Law of Attraction finally starts to work in our favour, because we are no longer repelling what we really want based on the bad feelings about ourselves that we were holding on the inside. When we love ourselves on the inside we can come into alignment and our whole vibration changes. Then, we begin to be able to create the life we really want.
Do you see how this works?
Everyone can change if they really want to. It requires us becoming aware of our thoughts and behaviours and of being accountable to ourselves for our choices and actions. That might sound like hard work to some people, and it might be a little bit at the start, but very soon it becomes a new habit or skill that we develop and then it becomes second nature.
In my coaching programmes I help my clients to work though all of these individual layers that have kept them stuck and I help them to see where they have repeatedly sabotaged themselves. Basically we identify and de-construct their limiting subconscious beliefs about themselves and their ability to succeed and replace them with new empowering thoughts and beliefs – and that’s how the transformation happens.
If you’d like to know more about how you can work with me privately or in a group programme please visit my website here where you can find out more.
I want you to know, that no matter how many times you’ve tried to change in the past, that change is available to everyone and it’s worth another try.
What steps will you take today to begin to change yourself from the inside out?
Write me a message and let me know what you are committing to change in your life. I’d love to hear from you and help you if I can.
Until next time, stay out of fear and BE committed to your quest for the life you really want.
Love
Karen
