Here’s another of my harsh truth moments…
But first, I want to give a BIG shout out to the ladies in my Mastermind because they’re AMAZING!
The positive change that I’m seeing in each and every one of them is phenomenal.
And all the credit goes to them… for actually showing up and doing the work. It’s really changing them at a very deep and profound level – something they express to me every week in our coaching calls.
What I see out in the public area though…..
Is that so many times people say to me that they want change… that they’re fed up of feeling stuck and not being where they want to be in life, health, relationships, business…
And yet, (unlike my Mastermind ladies) they don’t do anything to change that for themselves…
They want change but they don’t do anything about it!
Yes – that’s my HARSH TRUTH moment folks!
I’m calling people out – because if I don’t nobody else will and change doesn’t happen for us all on its own…
Well, if it does, then it usually comes with that “I’ve just been mowed down by a Mack truck” kind of feeling…. And that’s not necessarily the way we would choose to go through these changes if we had a choice.
But that’s the point…!
WE DO!!! WE DO HAVE A CHOICE!! (WE ARE NOT POWERLESS!)
And yet people STILL don’t choose to do the necessary work to get the change they want!
It’s not that I want to call people lazy because it’s not that at all. It’s more that they have such deep seated sabotage behaviours and unconscious fears, that they just don’t know what to do to change. Or HOW to make it happen…. So they just stay stuck when really, they could reach out for help.
Well obviously, that’s what I’m here to help people with, but I can only help you as much as you are willing to help yourself! I can’t do this for you!
If you want change – if you want to better yourself and create a better life – then YOU have to step up and be responsible for CREATING that life!
If you are a non-starter, then I just can’t help you and I feel sad about that because I want the best for you.
This complacency that I see in people sometimes is evident throughout the whole of their life when we look back at it.
For some it’s a feeling of hopeless and helpless – the belief is that there’s nothing they can do to change things.
For others it’s a feeling of low self worth – the belief is simply that they don’t feel worthy of more. They don’t ask for more because they think they won’t get more.
These people don’t think much of themselves even though they might have a life that looks successful on the outside… but the words they say to themselves are not kind words so they hurt themselves on repeat and this is often a pattern that has played out throughout their life from childhood. The trajectory of this pattern is always a downwards spiral until they choose to change.
Digging back into our childhood is rarely high on our list of things we love to do, let’s be honest. And yet if we don’t, we miss the golden nuggets that are there buried deep inside of us so I’ve come to the conclusion that this work is vital if we are to be free to create the life we really want.
We can know things on a mental level but we also have to work them on an energetic level. We have to shift the stagnant energy that is left behind from that hurt and I have a number of different ways that I can approach this with my clients to make sure that we clear it and heal it on all levels.
The bottom line is that if you want your life to be more than what it currently is, then you have to value yourself more than you currently do and you have to give yourself the time you need to, to make the changes you need to.
It’s intricately linked… if you can’t find time for you then you’re unconsciously telling yourself that you are not worthy of that time because you’re spending it elsewhere instead.
An hour scrolling crap on social media or watching rubbish on Netflix, could be an hour spent doing some deep inner work that will change your life in all the best ways.
